    Important Coronavirus Customer Update!

In these unprecedented times, our thoughts go out to everyone affected by the measures put into place in order to contain the outbreak, and we want to assure you that we will as necessary adjust our working practices to ensure the continued successful marketing and sale of your property. We wanted to let you know about the steps we are taking in continuing to service our clients and the community we have served for over 220 years.

How is the market doing?

Most buyers are being very resolute and proceeding with their purchases.

We anticipate that traffic on property portals such as Rightmove, OnTheMarket and our own website may actually increase over the coming weeks, as more people will be at home with spare time.

We expect there to be some additional delay in the buying and selling process with regard to conveyancing and bank/building society surveys and valuations, but currently, the local solicitors are working hard to speed sales through.

Our priority is that your property remains visible through all of our marketing channels. This will ensure we take advantage of not just what interest there is at present, but also any future upturn in activity. We want to ensure you are ahead of the game in securing a buyer in this event.

Our Sales Team & Communications

Our lines of communication in terms of telephone contact and email remain the same.  However, like many companies, some members of staff will be home working.

As we have all learnt events can change very quickly, so please keep an eye out for our emails and e-newsletters and visit our website and appropriate social media for further updates.

How are you doing?

The health and wellbeing of our customers and staff is our first priority. We have no members of staff at present away from work or working at home in family isolation, or registered as having contracted the virus. However, we are discouraging all non-essential visits by clients to our offices at the present time.  We are carefully following the medical advice to keep our clients, colleagues and the communities in which we work safe.  If you are attending a face to face meeting we ask that you do not shake hands, and if you are feeling unwell (with a cough or a fever) that the meeting is postponed or done remotely.

Property Viewings

We would ask that where possible vendors conduct their own viewings at this time. This is to try and prevent a possible infection from depleting our workforce, which would, in turn, prevent us from fully servicing our clients. We ask that you bear with us during this period.

We shall, however, continue to provide an accompanied viewing service were absolutely necessary so that none of our clients miss any possible sale opportunity.

Prior to booking any viewing appointments, the applicants will be fully vetted in relation to their health and recent movements.

Summary

Through the centuries we have successfully served our clients through the Napoleonic Wars, Spanish Flu and both World Wars. Despite these challenging times, we intend to ensure that we continue to offer you as full and exceptional a service as possible.

Please do not hesitate to contact any of our office teams if you are in need of further advice and assistance at this time.
