In 2014 we have seen shortages in some areas of certain styles of property come into play, and where this has happened we have seen prices rise quite noticeably.
For example, in Nettleham Fields and Glebe Park in Lincoln good quality detached bungalows have been as rare as 'hen's teeth' this year. 22 Azalea Close, Lincoln is a very well presented three bedroom detached bungalow which we recently sold off an asking price of £239,500. There was very, very strong competition for the bungalow, which resulted in a call for highest and final offers to be made in order to provide all buyers with a fair opportunity to try and secure its purchase.
In the West End of Lincoln there are some good quality private buyers looking for large three storey period houses, especially if they back onto West Common. Right across the heart of Lincolnshire, there is great demand locally and from outside of the region for well located village and country cottages. Again at the moment, demand stands as being well in-excess of the supply of these styles of home in the market.
This summer we are looking for more of the above properties to sell on behalf of our clients. Contact us now for you free professional marketing appraisal.
