Sunday 7th September - Entertainment for all the family including The Lumberjack Olympics.
This year's Wood Fair was again held at Revesby Estate - a stunning parkland setting with mature trees surrounding the Fair site. A major part of the fair is the auction of firewood which got underway at 12 noon with approximately 150 lots on offer from various firewood suppliers. These included assorted chopped logs, woodchip, turnery wood, briquettes, a log store and chopping stump, off-cuts, a deer carcass and a rather lovely wooden pig sculpture! Elsewhere on the site throughout the day there was chainsaw sculpting, archery, logging, falconry, trailer rides, demonstrations and a selection of forestry associated stands.
